Wear clothing that would be comfortable for a walk on the beach that day. Swimsuits are not necessary, but are permitted. We recommend footwear that would stay on your feet in the water. Sport sandals such as Teva's or Chaco's are ideal but old sneakers are fine, too. Sun protection is important, regardless of the weather or season. We strongly recommend a hat, sunglasses and sunscreen—as well as a bottle of water for each person. During spring and fall mornings and evenings bug spray may be necessary.
Stand Up Paddleboarding
Wear a bathing suit or clothing that you would not mind getting wet. Sun protection is important, regardless of the weather or season. A bottle of water for each person is also recommended.
Fishing Trips
Wear comfortable clothing appropriate for the weather, non-marking shoes or sandals, hat, sunscreen, sunglasses and any food and refreshments you like—a cooler with ice is provided.
Boating Trips
Wear clothing that would be comfortable for a walk on the beach that day. The boat ride can be cool, even on a warm day, so bring outwear appropriate to the temperature with a “wind chill” (windbreaker and insulating layer, as necessary). You can compare it to being outside in the current temperature but with an air conditioner blowing directly on you. Sun protection is important, regardless of the weather or season. We strongly recommend a hat, sunglasses and sunscreen. During spring and fall mornings and evenings, bug spray might be necessary.
EcoVenture and Discovery Days Camps
Children should wear a bathing suit, hat, sunglasses, sunscreen and shoes that will stay on their feet if they get wet—sport sandals or water shoes, no flip flops please. We also recommend a bottle of water for each child.
Children's Water Fun Day
Participants should wear bathing suits appropriate for water sports, plenty of sun protection, and a bottle of water is recommended.
Teen Adventure Island
Teens should wear a bathing suit, footwear that will stay on their feet in the water (No flip-flops please!), a hat, sunscreen and sunglasses. They should also bring a bottle of water and pack a bag lunch.
Teen Tube Night
Teens should wear bathing suits appropriate for water sports and bring a towel.
Teen Kayaking
Wear clothing that would be comfortable for a walk on the beach that day. Swimsuits are not necessary, but are permitted. Footwear that would stay on your feet in the water is required. Sport sandals such as Teva's or Chaco's are ideal but old sneakers are fine, too. Sandals must attach around the ankle—no flip-flops please. Sun protection is important, regardless of the weather or season. We strongly recommend a hat, sunglasses and sunscreen. A bottle of water for each person is also recommended. During spring and fall mornings and evenings bug spray may be necessary.
Teen Stand Up Adventure
